What Is The Battery Charge Profile For A Flooded Lead Acid Battery?

It’s important to note that every battery type will have its charging profile. In terms of a flooded lead acid battery, its float voltage will sit around 2.25V – 2.27/2.30V per cell on average. This is also based on ambient temperature. The higher this is, the lower your float charge will need to be. Lead acid batteries must be stored in a charged state with top-offs needing to occur roughly every six months.

What Charge Controller Is Needed For A Newpowa 100W 12V Mono Solar Panel?

For a single solar panel, we recommend using one of our 10A PWM charge controllers (PHL-10A, NPR-WN20-12P) as they are a cost-effective option and are both lithium-compatible. While it is true that charge controllers should be purchased based on solar panel specifications, it’s equally important and true that the charge controller you choose be compatible with your batteries.

We Currently Have Five Newpowa 200W 12V Mono Solar Panels And Want To Add Three Pro 200W 12V Mono Solar Panels. Can This Be Done?

Yes, you can add the Newpowa Pro 200W 12V Mono Solar Panels to your existing system, provided they’re within a 10% difference of one another in terms of wattage, amperage, and voltage. With that being said, the Pro 200W 12V Mono Solar Panels are all within this range and can therefore be added to your setup. Just make sure that your current charge controller and inverter can handle the additional wattage.
